Blake Shelton Eager for a Break From ‘The Voice’
Blake Shelton has had his fair share of TV appearances, most recently popping up on 'Malibu County' with Reba McEntire, and holding a key role as coach on 'The Voice.' He's not planning on giving up Music City for Hollywood, however.
The 'Sure Be Cool if You Did' singer is eager to get back on the road and in his cowboy boots, telling the Boot, "As soon as the leash gives me a little slack from 'The Voice,' I'm going straight back into touring. I can't see myself going from 'The Voice' into more television. I think there will at least be a break there."
While the television life may seem glamorous, it definitely doesn't allow for other endeavors, as Shelton explains, "It ties you into L.A. for a week. You do a read-through on a Friday, and then you rehearse Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and film it Thursday ... and you're right back doing the next show the next day."
Fans of the country superstar will certainly be glad to hear that news, as his highly-anticipated album 'Based on a True Story...' is set to be released on Mar. 26, the day after 'The Voice' premiere. He'll be off the road until July, when the Ten Times Crazier Tour begins. Jana Kramer and Easton Corbin will join him.
