In 2017, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth by Sturgill Simpson took home the Grammys trophy in the Best Country Album category, amidst fierce competition. This year, the choice is equally tough, with some of country music's biggest stars thrown into the pool.

Cosmic Hallelujah is Kenny Chesney's 16th studio album, and one that the artist says is closest to his heart. The album features a hit collaboration with Pink and several standout singles, including "All the Pretty Girls."

Lady Antebellum released Heart Break after a taking a year to look back and reflect; the band used that time to reset and find inspiration in their musical roots. Another Best Country Album nominee, The Breaker by Little Big Town, is the band's eighth studio album; it features hits such as "Better Man," which has received two Grammys nominations of its own.

Life Changes chronicles Thomas Rhett's evolving life, and while it's personal, it's also universal. The album includes hits such as "Craving You," a collaboration with Maren Morris, and "Unforgettable."

From A Room: Volume 1 has already won Chris Stapleton an Album of the Year award at the CMAs, so it's no surprise to see it in the running for Best Country Album at the 2018 Grammys. Stapleton won this category in 2016 with his debut album, Traveller ... Can he take it home again?
