Amazon Reveals Plan For Massive New Capital Region Warehouse: Where Will It Be?
Amazon is planning to build an enormous new 3.2 million square foot warehouse in the Capital Region.
Not to mention, it would also be 4.5 stories high!
Amazon is simply a massive operation. I don't know how they keep up with all the packages we order just at my house!
Not to mention the level of packages delivered across New York and the country. How can they keep up with it all?
Well, they can fulfill orders quickly and efficiently because of their wide network of regional distribution centers, warehouses, and delivery drivers.
Amazon has revealed a plan to build one of those warehouses in the Capital Region.
According to a report from New York Upstate (NYUP), Amazon has revealed a plan to build a new massive warehouse in the Amsterdam area of Montgomery County near exit 27 of the Thruway.
The new facility would operate 24/7 fulfilling orders for local Amazon delivery centers and NYUP says it would employ 750 people, along with several hundred part-time and seasonal employees. The construction project itself would also generate 300 jobs.
A tentative timeline for the project has not been revealed at this point.
