It feels like this type of thing has been happening pretty frequently on the Capital Region the last few months.

A water main break at Elberon Place and South Lake Avenue caused a sinkhole that swallowed an SUV! Check this out from News 10:

This is crazy! We have been having a lot of water main breaks in the area of late, but the truck in the whole adds a whole new perspective to the size and scope of these types of incidents. Maybe all the rain we had last night contributed here. According to News 10 the following streets are closed due to the incident and ensuing repairs:

  • Elberon Place from South Lake Avenue to Quail Street
  • South Lake Avenue from Madison Avenue to Western Avenue.
