Get your snowsuit ready for another go around! February is shaping up to be a big month as far as total snowfall.

Yes, I know what you are thinking: it is way too early to start looking at snowfall totals for Tuesday. But honestly, our forecasters have been pretty good this month getting ahead of these storms. If you love those flakes, it is never too early to start planning for a good snowfall!

According to the Weather Channel, after some snow showers Sunday our next decent-sized snow event will roll into town late Monday night and will continue through Tuesday night. As of now, the Weather Channel is calling for up to 9 inches of snow. Plus, next Thursday and Friday we could see an additional inch or two of accumulation each day with snow showers in the forecast. Which for February in Upstate New York is pretty much par for the course.

After a slightly slow snow month in January, old man winter has woken up! This is making skiers and snowmobilers super happy along the way and snow-haters absolutely miserable. We have been getting snow pretty regularly during the first 10 days of February with at least a few inches falling what seems like every few days. The National Weather Service says almost 10 inches of snow has fallen so far in Albany, and the 30 year average for February snowfall is 12 inches. Which we will most likely crush with this next storm on the way Monday into Tuesday!
