A Woman Beats An Alleged Burglar With A Bed Post

A woman in Raleigh, North Carolina protected herself and her children by beating a man with a bed post, when he allegedly came into her home to rob it.

In a story from a Raleigh television station – WTVD, 40-year-old Lucio Miranda Allegedly broke into the home of Victoria Alexis Jones, who was home with her two children. This happened at about 8 p.m. on January 13.

After Victoria told Miranda to leave, he refused. That’s when she decided that it was time to do something to protect her and her family. She had an old bed, which had a loose bed post. She went and grabbed it and went after Miranda and started to beat him with it. After she hit him the first time, he decided it was time to leave, but Victoria hit him again. Miranda was still there when the police got there.

He was charged with first-degree burglary and possession of stolen goods. Miranda went to a localemergency treatment center where he got medical attention for a broken ankle and a head injury. Don’t you just love a story with a happy ending?
