State Police ask for help while they investigate the mysterious death of a man they found at Ausable Chasm in the early hours of Sunday morning. Anyone with information regarding this incident to please contact state police at 518-873-2777.

A suspicious death over the weekend in Upstate New York has prompted local police to ask for the public's help while they continue their investigation.  Sadly, it happened at a very popular landmark in the Capital Region.

According to sources, police responded to an area near Ausable Chasm, a sandstone gorge and tourist attraction located near the hamlet of Keeseville, New York very early on Sunday morning.

According to MyNBC5,  state police members responded to State Route 9, AuSable Chasm Bridge, in the town of Chesterfield for a "suspicious death" in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 20th.

When troopers arrived on the scene just after 2 am, they located Kenneth C. Darrah, 37, of Keeseville, New York.  He was found deceased on the riverbank on the north bank of the river according to the source.

State Police have not said why they consider it suspicious, but as the investigation continues they're asking anyone with information regarding this incident to please contact state police at 518-873-2777.

According to the source, an autopsy will be conducted at Glens Falls Hospital by Pathologist Michael Sikirica, MD, on March 21, 2023, around 10:00 a.m. and more information about his death will be made available to the public.
