BKW-  that stands for Berne Knox Westerlo Elementary School.  I had such a good time with this class and their teachers - I want to apply for a job there! And the song they came up with is just exactly what we were looking for - a jingle for Albany County District Attorney David Soares' "WORDS" program to fight bullying.

To have a great class you need great instructors, and you can tell right off the bat how committed these two are to education.  Mr Dergosits and Ms Knightes were phenomenal to work with, and the kids?  I can't say enough about them.

There were two groups merged together for this, by the way but they were SO well behaved that it made the writing a breeze.  They had fantastic ideas - all I did  was try to jam them in to fit the music which somehow turned into a parody of Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind Of Night".

I've listened to this multiple times now, and I can't wait for David Soares to hear this.  He's going to flip out.  I'm sure you will too.  (Although we don't want the message to get lost here - Bullying is horrible, and words can hurt as much as actions.)  We have to stop it in it's tracks.  We hope that idea is communicated in this catchy jingle.  Here it is below...

What a great way to sum up the important work of the Albany County District Attorney and his staff.  For more information on the WORDS program, you can go to their website.
