Tryouts Set for Schenectady Film
If you or someone you know is interested in trying out for the movie being filmed in Schenectady this summer, tryout dates are out. In case you haven’t heard, “The Place Beyond the Pines,” a movie starring Ryan Gosling (“The Notebook” & “Blue Valentine”) and Bradley Cooper (“Wedding Crashers” & “The Hangover”), will be shot in Schenectady this summer. And the coolest part (other than catching an up close glimpse of either actor) is that movie producers are looking for some local faces to star in the movie as well.
The person’s age and gender interested in a role, correlates with their tryout time. Tryouts will be held the weekend of June 4th and 5th at 1473 Erie Boulevard, Schenectady. Men over 21-years of age should sign in between 10am and noon; women over 21 should sign in between 1 and 3pm on June 4th. Teenage boys between the age of 13 and 20 should come by between 10am and noon on June 5th while girls should be there between 1 and 3pm the same day.
Any person interested in the tryouts will have to provide their name, age and contact information and should bring a picture of themselves. More information can be found at the Schenectady Film Commission’s Facebook page.
