Ronald McDonald Won’t Be Seen In the Capital Region For Awhile

In response to the recent 'creepy clown' sightings, McDonald's will be having Ronald lay low for a bit.

I know it sounds crazy. But it's true. According to a News 10 story, one of America's most beloved mascots will be taking it easy for a while as a result of the recent 'creepy clown' scares.

McDonald's said last week they will be pulling back on public appearances by Ronald out of respect to those communities who have had these sightings. Which means you probably won't be seeing Ronald out at any Capital Region community events in the near future.

Is McDonald's giving in to the hysteria here? I understand why they are doing this, but with Ronald being so familiar and well known, maybe they should keep him out and about so they are not feeding in to the clown craziness.

Either way, it's hard to believe McDonald's is giving their iconic mascot a breather because of these creepy clowns!
