Price Chopper is now recalling American cheese after Hannaford Supermarkets had a similar recall last week. Here's what you need to know. According to News Channel 13, the American cheese recall is now part of Price Chopper and Market 32 stores. A voluntary manufacturer's recall has been issued from Great Lakes Cheese for white and yellow American cheeses.

The recall is due to the possible presence of small metal fragments. The voluntary recall includes fresh sliced-to-order, cheese ends that were sold, and pre-sliced grab-and-go Great Lakes Cheese. These would have been sold under the Market 32 label in the deli department. They have the UPC codes of: 27667500000, 2258910000, 2258900000, 22590400000, 22591400000, 27667400000, 22597500000, and 22597600000.

There is also a recall of pre-packaged sandwiches and other items prepared in the deli department containing Great Lakes Cheese. To see a list of items, click HERE. Price Chopper and Market 32 have pulled these items from their shelves. If you have any of these products, you can return them to your local store for a full refund.
