Hit and Run in Saratoga County

This is breaking news and if we get any more information, we'll do our best to update this story.  In the meantime, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the unfortunate victim.

State Police are looking for help identifying the person responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash that they say happened before 6 am on Wednesday at a well-traveled area near Route 50 and Brookline Road in Ballston Spa.

At this time, police haven't released any information about the person struck and killed on Wednesday morning.

What we know about the vehicle involved

According to the State Police, the vehicle their looking for is a white or silver Nissan Altima that could range from anywhere from a 2013 to 2018.

Damage to the car

Police say that as a result of the crash, the vehicle they're looking for suffered extensive damage to the front end.

"State Route 50 in the area of Brookline Road in Ballston Spa, NY (Saratoga County) is closed due to a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in the area at 5:43 this morning. The vehicle is described as a white or silver 2013-2018 Nissan Altima with significant front-end damage.
