Performance Theater to Move to New Location

Staying in Schenetady, but moving venues that's what is happening for  MopCo LLC, the parent company of The Mop & Bucket Co who has been within Proctors Theater. The company is in the purchasing process, investing $500,000 to renovate an old firehouse for their new facility.

The improv theater company hosts rehearsals, peformances along with classes for adults and children's education programs.

“Our years in residence at Proctors have been critical to our growth and development. Our classes, our improv audience, and our international consultancy have enjoyed tremendous growth. Now that it’s time to leave the Proctors nest, we are delighted to be continuing to fly in downtown Schenectady,” said MopCo founder Michael Burns in a press release.

Construction and renovations at the N. Jay Street location will begin later this month.
