In the story from News 10 ABC, The Schoharie County Sheriff’s Department went to man’s house in the Town Of Summit, only to find that there was snow blocking any entry ways of the home, and no one could get in.

After rescue crews could finally able get into the house, they found the elderly man. He was dehydrated, had frostbite and hypothermia. He was taken to Cobleskill Regional Hospital and was listed to be in serious condition.

Also upon inspection of the house, it was discovered that the pipes were frozen, and there was no heat. There was also a dog and some goats on the property. They were taken to a local animal shelter.
