Moriah Formica On Why She Chose Miley Over Blake(WATCH)

It took all of 3 minutes to identify Moriah Formica, the 16-year-old rocker from Latham, as a legit contender on The Voice.  She sat down with Brian and Chrissy Friday morning to discuss her coaching choice, her rock roots, her undeniable talent, and of course, nursery rhymes!

As she wailed away on her guitar in the blind audition round of The Voice this past Monday night, all 4 judges had their chair turned around faster than you can say Shaker High School.  I think most would agree that Formica will be wildly successful even if she doesn't 'win" The Voice.  That's not a knock on the show, it's a compliment to her.  Moriah is composed, grounded, and extremely focused.  The Voice is a great vehicle for her, but she's driving in the fast lane with or without the smash hit TV show.

The music industry is wildly unpredictable, but true talent is easy to spot.  Moriah's got the entire Capital Region watching.
