According to the Times Union, a local teenager now holds the "Guinness Book of World Record" for the longest one-finger spin of a book. 18-year old Sam Segal, a senior at Guilderland High School, set the record back in December at an event he staged in front of his classmates.  Back then, he didn't know if his time would be accepted.

This past Friday, the Guinness committee declared the 16 minute, 39.37 spin the new world record.  Segal topped the old record of 6 minutes, 50.11 seconds.  Pretty cool, isn't it?  I didn't know you could even spin a book, let alone for more than two seconds!  And here this local, 18-year old got his name down in history.  Here's the actual record: Longest-time spinning
