It seems that everyone I know is getting on the Instant Pot bandwagon. The multi-cooker cooks food fast and healthy. You can make almost anything in the Instant Pot. But there is a problem with this certain brand and you are being urged to return it for a refund. The company, Instant Pot, has announced it received a number of reports of its Gem 65 eight in one multi-cooker overheating. This causes the base of the cooker to melt. The codes that are affected are 1728, 1730, 1731, 1734 and 1746. You can find this 4-digit number on the bottom right of the silver label, located on the bottom of your cooker.

If any of these codes match you should immediately stop using it. The company is working closely with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and they say the safety of their consumers is their priority. You can return it to the point of purchase.

If you have more questions or concerns, you can call the company at 800-828-7280 Ext. 2.
