Illegal Robocallers Target Of New ‘Quiet Act’

Even though most of us are on the do not call registry, we still seem to get these illegal robocall telemarketing phone calls.

Hopefully that could be changing thanks to Senator Charles Schumer.

In a story from New 10 ABC, he’s introducing the 'Quiet Act Of 2014'. Quiet is an acronym which stands for Quell Unnecessary, Intentional, and Encroaching Telephone Calls.

In Upstate New York, the Federal Trade Commission has more than three times the amount of complaint calls last year than they received in 2010.

Let's hope Senator Schumer can make this happen.
