Police in Hoosick Falls are out with K9's searching for a man they say escaped custody at 5:30 pm today.  

Police say the man is 34 year-old Justin Faatz, who according to News 10 ABC was under arrest for burglary charges when he managed to break free.

According to the report, he was last seen on Main Street in Hoosick Falls.  He may be wearing a gray, long-sleeved zip up fleece jacket with a red T-shirt underneath, dark colored pants.  Also, it's worth noting, that he was cuffed at the time will have a handcuff on his right wrist.  How he was able to escape police custody at this time is unknown, and it's not clear whether or not Faatz has a history of violence.

At the time of his burglary back on December 12, 2018, it was reported that jewelry, tattoo equipment and guns were stolen.
