Hurdles were jumped, logistics were calculated and now Upstate New York's first ready-to-drink cocktail in a can is ready to go!

Created by Cazenovia's Life of Reilley Distilling and Wine Co, it's a mix of their Raspberry Vodka, lemonade and mint and when it's all said and done, it's 6.5% alcohol which is stronger than most domestic premium beers like Bud or Coors.

The idea was dreamt up on 2014 by owner, Ben Reilley with samples ready to try last summer, then problems popped up. No one had tried something like this before. State alcohol regulators weren't sure how to handle it and compared it to Mike's Hard Lemonade. The difference is, Mike's is made like a beer with a barley base, not the same with Disco Lemonade.

So where will you find Disco Lemonade? It'll need to be in liquor stores and hopefully soon!

Reilley is quoted: "The liquor stores are excited because this gives them a different niche product that they can promote. I think this category is coming on and it's here to stay."
