Delmar May Be Getting A New Irish Pub & Restaurant
Over the last few years, Delmar seems to have gotten to be one of those places where new (or newer) restaurants have been opening up. That’s not a bad thing.
Now there are plans one unique Irish pub and restaurant fat 318 Delaware Avenue. The name of the authentic Irish pub and restaurant will be O’Slattery’s Irish Restaurant And Pub. It will be owned by two Irish immigrants, William ‘Liam’ Slattery and Keith O’Brien.
The plans for O’Slattery’s will be taking over the area where the Weichart Realtors space is, along with the area where the Loving Cafe (a vegan restaurant) was. If you think that these two gentlemen just a couple of guys that just decided to open an ‘Irish public house’, you may want to give that a second thought. Both of them have business experience. In New York City, Slattery managed several pubs. There’s a construction company that is owned by O’Brien.
According to an article in the Times Union, on Tuesday night, the plans were well received at a town planning board meeting. There will be another meeting on May 5 which will be be submitted an amendment about a deck project for O’Slattery’s, for additional outdoor seating.
