Small Town Tour

Chalk up another fun and rewarding experience - this time working with students in Mrs. Bushey's class at Shaker Road Elementary School in Colonie.  Some extremely talented jingle writers were on hand, so I put them to work immediately to write a Countryfest song!

When we opened the voting for the Small Town Tour, we had a feeling we'd hear from the folks in Schaghticoke and boy did we! With 28% of the vote, the new home of Countryfest will also be our first stop on the spring leg of the Small Town Tour. We're live at the Schag-A-Val diner right on route 40. If  you're not a local, it is pronounced SHAG not Schag.

As you may know this Friday morning the "Sean and Richie Show' will be broadcasting live 5:30 - 9:00 am, at Schag-A-Val, in Schaghticoke. It's all part of the "Small Town Tour" that we do twice a year, a chance to get out and meet some of the listeners who are the backbone of our radio station.

i'm looking for the next town on the Capital Region map to write a ditty about.  A day without a rhyme is a day without sunshine.  Let's do it, folks.  I want to have a song for Your Town Thursday.

Spring is coming - or at least that's the rumor. With the return of spring comes the return of the GNA Small Town Tour where the Sean + Richie Show heads to your hometown to broadcast their show live and have breakfast with you. However, we need your help in choosing where we go and this time we're doing it a little differently.

Here's song from Wood Road School in Ballston Spa from today. It's called the 3 B's Rock. Be responsible, Be Safe, Be Respectful (get it?) The music teacher is Brian Bailey. We had a great time at the Elks Lodge in Ballston Spa on the Small Town Tour. Lots of people came out and had a great breakfast! We had a blast despite the bar not being open! Special thanks to the Elks for hosting us.

Things tend to 'happen' on the Small Town Tour and the Elks Lodge in Ballston Spa was one of our craziest happenings - shots of Maple Syrup downed by Richie and Levack. Check out the photos and video of the 'shots' and keep an eye on Richie's face - it's priceless.

The Small Town Tour is making it's final stop of the Fall 2012 sweep and we're ending things at the Elks Lodge #2619 in Ballston Spa. Breakfast is only $6 (less for kids and seniors) and it benefits the Elks. They have a great setup and breakfast smells amazing - we can't wait to dig in! Come join us!

Just trying to do our civic duty here.  We had an awesome time on the Small Town Tour at Michael's Diner in Fultonville.  Very nice folks came up at the end of our broadcast with important fundraising events that they wanted us to "hype".  We had no time, unfortunately, so I am including them here. Please read on.

When Lisa Vosburgh, the Music Teacher and Mary Sweet, the 4th Grade Teacher at FFCS heard that The Sean + Richie Show was heading into town, they got together and created a song for us!

Michael's Diner was kind enough to host the Sean + Richie Show as we rolled into town for the Small Town Tour. It was great to meet everyone and as always we had a great time.
