First, I want to thank everyone who wrote in to nominate people for the Schoharie Citizen of the year. We received many amazing nominations. The hardest part was narrowing it down to four deserving individuals, but we have. In Schoharie more than other places, the flooding truly did bring out the very best in many many people. Now it is your turn once again, we need your vote!
The Sean and Richie Show is coming to Schoharie this Friday morning for the "Small Town Tour". And we need your help. We would love to honor a member of the community as Schoharie's, "Citizen of the year". So we need your recommendations, now.
We've had 2 great week's on the road with the Sean and Richie Morning Show at 1077 'GNA meeting our listeners in Hoosick Falls and Victory Mills. Next Friday they'll be doing the show live in Schoharie on the Small Town Tour.
The second stop on the small town tour was in Victory Mills, NY. We had a great time and felt very welcome in town, plus the fire department (who hosted us) also had a benefit breakfast for the dept. Check out the photos after the jump.
Since the Small Town Tour is in Victory Mills, which is essentially Schuylerville, I headed to Schuylerville Elementary to talk about Victory Mills. Or Victory. Confusing but it all comes together. Check out their song and the lyrics after the jump.
We were joined for breakfast by not only members of the community but also Mayor Jim Sullivan, Pioneer Bank CEO Eileen Bagnoli, Erin Clark from Independent Bankers Association of New York State, and Scott Averill from Fidelis Care. Check out our gallery of photos from our guests on-air with the Sean & Richie Show.
We're at our second stop for the Small Town Tour and the Victory Mills and this week the fire department benefits - not only are they hosting us but for only $7 you can have a great breakfast that helps benefit the fire department. Come out and meet the Sean & Richie show plus help out some local heros. Check out directions after the jump.
At each stop on the Small Town Tour we're recognizing a citizen who has gone the extra mile for the community and presenting them with the honor of being citizen of the year. Victory Mills had some great nominees - but the people have spoken and we're proud to recognize the Victory Mills citizen of the year.
It's just a little town in Saratoga County. There are only about 600 residents. Does that qualify you to get your own town theme song? ABSOLUTELY. In fact, this town is getting a web-only version with extra lyrics for no extra charge, 'cuz I'm that kinda guy.
This Friday is second stop on the Sean and Richie Small Town Tour. This week we join the Village of Victory Mills for breakfast at the Victory Mills Fire Department.
