Shootout, YouTube Image

One of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings has been killed. One MIT campus police officer has also been reported killed, and another, A transit authority officer is in critical condition.

This is clearly an event that is still unfolding, from what I have gathered in information, one of the terror suspects, terror suspect number1 , the one in the black hat in the surveillance photos is dead, from what looks to be multiple gun shot wounds and possibly shrapnel from an exploded device.

The other suspect, the one in the white hat, is on the run in the community of Watertown. Police have advised all residence to lock their doors and stay inside as this man is considered armed and very dangerous.

Here is eye witness video of the shoot-out last night , I should warn you there is a swear word that was not edited out at the end of the video, it was taken by a resident last night.

This was reported by the Boston Globe overnight:

The made-for-movie mayhem began at approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday when police said the bombing suspects robbed a 7-Eleven store in Cambridge, police said. Minutes later, an MIT campus officer responding to the call was shot and killed. The terror suspects then fled in a stolen Mercedes-Benz, but were quickly spotted in Watertown where they exchanged dozens of rounds of gunfire with patrol officers.

Suspect 1 was shot by police and brought to Beth Israel Medical Center. He arrived at the hospital under cardiac arrest with multiple gunshot wounds and blast-like injuries to his chest. The second suspect fled on foot, leading to a tense manhunt that is still underway at this hour.”We believe this to be a terrorist,” Davis told reporters at a hastily arranged press conference in Watertown. “We believe this to be a man who has come here to kill people. We need to get him into custody.”

Obviously , we will try to keep you updated all morning on the air, at WGNA FM as details arrive. Let’s hope that no one else is harmed and the second suspect is apprehended soon.
