I recently had the honor of joining a distinguished panel of music nuts to agree on the 100 Best Country Love Songs.

While most of my peers selected modern country love songs from Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Chris Young, and Blake Shelton, I was the voice for the classics. It took some persuading, but eventually I was able to edge in Classic Country love songs like 'Look At Us' by Vince Gill, 'Rockin' Years' by Dolly Parton and Ricky Van Shelton, 'I.O.U.' by Lee Greenwood, and 'What A Difference You Made In My Life' by Ronnie Milsap.

As host of WGNA's Cryin' Lovin' or Leavin' Show in the late '90s and early 2000's, I also tried to capture that era with popular love songs like 'Love, Me' by Collin Raye, 'If There Hadn't Been You' by Billy Dean, 'To Make You Feel My Love' by Garth Brooks (pictured kissing Trisha Yearwood above) and 'Your Love Amazes Me' by John Berry. In the end, I think we came up with a variety of songs and artists that will please long-time and new country fans alike.
