Great Classic Country Songs You (Hopefully) Haven’t Forgotten About

And If you've never heard these songs, you probably should.

It's easy to get caught up in awesome singers like Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, and Dierks Bentley (who by the way is headlining Countryfest this year. If you haven't gotten tickets, get them quick!), but some artists are just so legendary that you never forget about their music.

Here's a few.

This one is from 1984. I'll be honest, if you're looking for a funny, well written country song, this is a great place to start. Hank sings about people getting their attitudes "adjusted" pretty...Forcefully. The song can be a little dark, but it's charming and upbeat. Definitely  a classic.

George Strait might just be the greatest country singer ever. This song is definitely makes a case for him. Sometimes, it's the simplest lyrics that say the most. Besides, who hasn't been in a bar and thought, "I'd really like to pull up a char and start talking to her."

Garth Brooks is another name you hear thrown around when talking about the greatest country singers of all time. Sometimes, we don't get to tell people how we really feel about them before it's too late. Take Garth's word for it, it's best to get the roses while we can still smell them.
