Apple picking season is finally here! But before you break out your bushel and start reaching for the apple way up high, you should know which apples are the best to pick for baking, snacking and spicing up your fall decor.

Lindsey's Orchard, located at 267 Sugar Hill Road in Rexford, can help you decide which are the best apples to pick, depending on what you plan to do with the apples. Some apples have a sweeter taste, while others have a more mild, almost tart flavor. Fuji apples tend to last a long time, so if you're filling vases and table tops with apples as a seasonal accent, they may be a better choice over other apples.

All of the apples below are available at Lindsey's Orchard at different points in the season.
