Albany's “lights in the park” begins today.  This is the 15th annual Hannaford Capital Holiday Lights in Washington Park. The display features over 125 lighted scenes and arrangements starring new events such as Santa on Vacation, America's Heroes, Toyland, the Victorian Holiday, and Peace on Earth.  "Lights in the Park" will also have some of the old time favorites as well.

The display great for the family whether you're out shopping or spending some quality time.  Maybe you have some time while on a date this weekend to take a romantic drive through in between dinner and a movie.  Afterall, the Spectrum is right down the road as well as many great Lark Street restaurants.

The lights will be open to the public to drive through beginning at 6pm Friday while walk-only nights will also be held.  Those nights are November 22nd, November 23rd, and January 2nd from 5 to 8pm.  What does it cost?  Well, I'm glad you asked.  It is $15 per car, $25 for a limo or 15-passenger van and $75 for a bus.  There are discount coupons available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at any Capital Region Hannaford.  Those coupons will give you $5 off admission.
