We talked about NFL players "taking a knee" during the National Anthem on the show Monday morning and we heard some powerful sentiments supporting it and opposing it. None of else will ever agree on everything 100% of the time, and in my opinion, that along with the ability to openly express it, is what makes this country great. Check out this viral photo of 97 year old WWII vet John Middlemas, a farmer from Missouri, Taking a Knee.

It's a powerful message of peace and acceptance and it has been shared thousands of times and spread across the the internet.  The photo was taken and put on Twitter Sunday morning as word spread that President Trump encouraged people to boycott the NFL and suggesting that players "be fired" for their continued their peaceful protests of taking a knee during the playing of the National Anthem.

"My grandpa is a 97 year-old WWII vet & Missouri farmer who wanted to join (with) those who #Takeaknee: 'those kids have every right to protest,'" wrote Brennan Gilmore as a caption to the photo of Middlemas.
