Several severe weather alerts have been issued in the Capital Region and surrounding areas, including a tornado warning for some.

As the hot and humid weather continues here in the Capital Region and Upstate New York, so does the risk of sever weather and storms.

National Weather Services Issues Tornado Warnings & Thunderstorm Alerts

According to News Channel 13, the National Weather Service (NWS)  has issued the following severe weather alerts for this evening:

A NWS Tornado Warning has been issued until 5 pm for the following areas:

  • Southeastern Hamilton County
  • West Central Warren County
  • Fulton County
  • Northwestern Saratoga County
  • Northeastern Montgomery County

A severe thunderstorm warning is also in effect through 5:15pm for Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie,  and Warren Counties. A thunderstorm watch for the entire Capital Region will remain in effect until 9 pm this evening.
