Volunteering at a local food shelter is a beautiful way to give back this Thanksgiving. The Annual Equinox Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner has been serving Thanksgiving meals to the less fortunate for more than 45 years, making it one of the Capital Region's longest running holiday traditions. If you don't have time to volunteer on the day of, there are still plenty of ways to get involved this Thanksgiving!

This year is the 19th annual Price Chopper Capital Holiday Lights! OK, Christmas is on our minds a little bit, too. After Thanksgiving dinner, why not take your friends and family out to Washington Park in Albany to see a beautiful holiday lights display? With over 100 light scenes, this is a spectacular way to usher in the holiday season! (After dessert, of course.)

Not Cook
Hosting Thanksgiving dinner can be a very tough job. Have you ever finished cleaning the house and just not felt like cooking anymore? What if all you had to do on Thanksgiving day was simply pick up your dinner? You can! Cella Bistro in Schenectady is taking orders now for your Thanksgiving dinner—with all the fixins! How easy is that? Or, if you'd rather eat out for Thanksgiving, many restaurants in the Capital Region are offering Thanksgiving buffet dinners.
