Zac Brown Band was in the news a lot today.  Some more news on the band today.  Coy Bowles, a member of the band, has officially released a children’s book.  The story is called Amy Giggles, Laugh Out Loud.

Zac Brown Band has earned themselves another week at No. 1 on the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts this week.  Can you guess which song?

Fans who tuned into the premiere of the Zac Brown Band‘s ‘Live at Red Rocks’ special over the weekend got an added bonus. In addition to several of their chart-topping hits, the band also offered the television debut of a previously unreleased song, ‘Sweet Annie.’

The Zac Brown Band feel they are having a bit of bad luck regarding the last two award shows.  If you caught the CMA’s last month, you might have noticed the band didn’t bring home one trophy out of the five categories they were nominated.  This past Monday, they were up for eight American Country Awards and again, received no trophies.

Being a country radio DJ, it's obvious that I love music. I'm always listening at home, in my car and just about everywhere. When I listen to an artist's CD, I don't just pay attention to the latest singles, I listen carefully to the whole album.

The second annual American Country Awards will be held tonight on FOX.  Show is set to air from 8pm to 10pm in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.  Zac Brown Band and Jason Aldean lead the American Country Award nominees with a total of eight each.

The power of Twitter and Facebook is great especially because you really hear what our country music celebrities are doing or feeling at one particular moment.

Many stars making my Taste of Country Music News today.  The remake of “Footloose” is coming out in theaters October 14th, but the soundtrack is out today.

Billy Currington is on a roll, and in my mind has crossed the line from star to superstar in the world of country music. He just got another #1 hit to add to his collection with "Let Me Down Easy".
