The second jewel of the Triple Crown is this weekend.  You think the Kentucky Derby snuck up on us -- I can't believe the Preakness Stakes is already around the corner.  But the question is, "who are the big contenders this time around?"

After scratching from this weekend’s 137th running of the Kentucky Derby, Uncle Mo was reportedly trucked to a nearby farm just an hour east of Churchill Downs, according to the “New York Daily News.”

Saturday is the 137th running of the Kentucky Derby so we had Mike Penna from the "Horse Racing Radio Network" on the show this morning.

The annual Kentucky Derby will be held this Saturday, May 7th, 2011, marking the 137th anniversary of the "run for the roses."
