Saratoga Race Course has long been a crown jewel of the New York Racing Association. Soon the historic race track may host the biggest crown in horse racing, the Triple Crown.

Saturday will be the 155th running of the Belmont Stakes, the third leg of horse racing's jewel, the Triple Crown. As the anticipation builds for fans to watch Forte battle Tapid Trice and National Treasure this weekend, the attention of many in the horse racing community has already begun to look north to Saratoga, horse racing's summer home.

Will American Pharoah run in the Travers at Saratoga? The short answer is , probably not.That doesn't mean however that it is any way ruled out. I know that we would all love to see the only living Triple Crown Winner up close in Saratoga, and with a million dollar purse, why wouldn't Zayat Stables want to win more money...

I’ll Have Another will not run at the 144th Belmont Stakes on Saturday. The horse, who was vying to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978, was ruled out by his trainer Doug O’Neill, who spoke about the matter on ‘The Dan Patrick Show’ on radio Friday morning.

Saturday is the Belmont Stakes, the last leg of the Triple Crown series of horse racing.  This race is nicknamed “The Test of a Champion” as it’s the longest race in the series.

While there will be no Triple Crown winner this year, Belmont Stakes should still draw many spectators tomorrow for the big race.

The second jewel of the Triple Crown is this weekend.  You think the Kentucky Derby snuck up on us -- I can't believe the Preakness Stakes is already around the corner.  But the question is, "who are the big contenders this time around?"
