Forecasters have revealed their weather outlook for late summer and early fall in Upstate New York.

It seems that every day we are adding more country shows to the concert calendar. Although this show won't be in Upstate New York, it is only a ninety-minute drive from Albany to catch this country star at "The Big E".

15-year-old Aiden from Guilderland wrote into WGNA asking that his father, Matthew, be our Hometown Hero for Septemeber.  We were happy to call and speak with Matthew on his day off to tell him the great news, which he humbly accepted.

Heroes come in all walks of life, lines of duty, and nooks and crannies. They are first responders, mentors, leaders, military personnel, and teachers.  And sometimes, they are simply a kind neighbor. September’s County Waste Hometown Hero is Ashley Carmichael from Potter Hollow and we are honored here at WGNA to tell you her story.

Can you believe it? It is already September! To some, it's all about the chilly weather, the Pumpkin Spice and the changing of the leaves! To me, it's all about apple picking! That is the one thing I always look forward to as summer is winding down.
