We got most of the storm Sunday into Monday but it didn't quite leave us until the middle of the night on Monday. We woke up to some more snow on the ground, and with that, more school closings and delays.
Weather forecasts are predicting that we're going to be getting up to 12 inches overnight. That means that a lot of schools and workplaces will be closed or at the very least, delayed. We'll keep you updated as we can with the various closings as they are announced.
Be careful on your drive in this morning, big flakes and slippery roads are in your future. According the The Weather Channel, Rain and snow this morning until about 9:00am then remaining overcast for the afternoon. High 41F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 100%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.
According to the Weather Channel: Snow this morning will give way to partly cloudy conditions this afternoon. Some mixed winter precipitation possible. High 33F. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 100%. About one inch of snow expected.
It's winter in the Capital Region and it's certain that we will get snow and sometimes a lot of it. No matter what job you do, chances are you don't get a snow day. But when the schools close, someone has to make that decision.
While the drive into work will be notably better than it was yesterday, several local schools are delayed.
