New York State Police launch the Autism Awareness Visor Card Program to improve communication between troopers and people with autism.

New Hartford and New York State Police continue to investigate a shooting on Saturday at Sangertown Square mall in New Hartford. Currently, police continue to search for a male suspect who fled the scene after the shooting just before 1 p.m. on Saturday.

All of us here at GNA are saddened to hear about the loss of a local trooper who honored his commitment to protect and serve, and in the process, sacrificed his own well being.   A former New York State Trooper who helped with search and recovery efforts following 9/11 passed away over the weekend.

Two Cohoes women ended up with some legal problems after they were accused of doing some shoplifting on Christmas Eve.

Some sort of domestic altercation in Sharon (Schoharie County) led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man.
