The New York State Fair is coming to Syracuse and it will begin this Friday. Don’t be surprised when you’re walking through the fair and you recognize the smell of weed, because marijuana use will be there.
Many New Yorkers have been waiting to get on the roads and now with most vaccinated and able to travel, the 4th of July weekend will be especially busy on the highways. It looks as if traffic on New York roadways will be up from forty percent from last year.
Living in the Capital Region we sometimes forget what other parts of the state have to offer. I have been fortunate to live out in the Buffalo area and on the East End of Long Island. Here are three of my favorite places to visit through the summer months.
Good news fairgoers! It looks like we will be able to experience all of the county fairs and local festivals this summer. Although last year fairs got creative with drive-up fair food festivals, it's nice to know that we can actually go into the fairs and enjoy what they have to offer, from the deep-fried foods to the rides, and games on the midway.
It is officially construction season and with more people heading out on the roadways, it's important to reinforce the safety of those working on our highways and streets across the state. New York State Police have launched Operation Hardhat.
