Looks like we may have some some nasty storms hitting our area this afternoon and evening.  The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a potentially significant damaging wind event across much of our listening area for later today.

Recent radar shows the storms passing through our region getting very intense now in the Lake George area with reports from WGNA listeners stating that 3.5 inch hail was falling not too long ago in the Bolton Landing Area.

This rain just keeps on coming today. Heavy downpours are expected throughout the overnight as well and with rivers and streams at peak levels now there may be some flooding in the area.

We are now under a Tornado Watch from the National Weather service until 10pm. The counties covered by this warning have grown since my last update. The skies are getting dark and the winds are really picking up. There is definitely something big coming quick.

Not again! We are hardly knee deep into 2011 and  another storm is upon us. This one is expected to dump quite a bit of snow and the morning commute will be less than fun.

The Wednesday morning commute could be a rough one.

Let's hope we don't get blasted with as much snow as we got just after Christmas.
