Senator Tedisco presented three local teenage heroes with the New York State Senate Liberty Medal on Tuesday.  It's a tremendous honor they richly deserve for helping save the lives of two drowning people in Collins Lake, Scotia.

Three local teens are properly being praised for their quick thinking when they came to the rescue of a man who may have been moments away from drowning in Collins Lake in Scotia on Tuesday.

Plans to build the the Scotia Splash Pad started back in 2016 but it's construction  amounted to nothing more than a tiny squirt.  When problems arose from various conract issues resulting in multiple delays, many local businesses in and around Scotia stepped up and the Scotia Splash Pad in now fully operable just in time for the opressive heatwave blasting our area.
