Sunday, September 9, 2012 is National Grandparents Day.  This day is very special to me, as I was lucky to spend lots of time with my Grandparents through the years.  As a matter of fact, they were responsible for my introduction to Country Music, which led to an amazing career.

I never thought this day would come, but the 'possum' is ready to retire from the road.  When I read the press release announcing that George Jones was ready to stop touring, I was somewhat sad to see another legend get ready to pull off the road.  However, we are so thankful he toured as long as he did, with many stops right here in the Northeast.

Whisperin' Bill Anderson is one of the most recognizable and honored talents in Country Music History.  In addition to his own hits, he's represented Country Music with great pride as a popular television personality and the writer of so many hit songs.

Whisperin' Bill Anderson has a massive catalog of his own hits like 'Still' 'Mama Sang a Song' 'Po Foks' and 'Bright Lights and Country Music.'  More impressively, he is the most recorded songwriter in Country Music History.  Therefore, with this list, we honor the Top 10 Bill Anderson Songs recorded and made hits by other artists.

Thursday, August 16, 2012 will mark 35 years since we lost Elvis Presley in 1977, at the age of 42.  As we prepare to produce another edition of GNA's Sunday Morning Hall of Fame, many people question why we would feature Elvis on a country station.  But, did you know Elvis started in Country Music and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame?

I'm excited to be hosting another Classic Country Road Trip this fall.  This time, Sunday Morning Hall of Fame listeners will have a chance to see the legendary Charley Pride.  As we prepare to enjoy another historic night, I've compiled a list of some my favorite Charley Pride songs.

Keith Bilbrey recently joined us on GNA's Sunday Morning Classic Country Hall of Fame Show.  The popular Nashville personality best known for hosting TNN's Opry Backstage, is now a favorite on "Larry's Country Diner" on RFD-TV.

We recently had the chance to honor the hits and legacy of Kitty Wells on GNA's Sunday Morning Classic Country Hall of Fame Show.  Former Grand Ole Opry Announcer and current member of RFD-TV's "Larry's Country Diner," Keith Bilbrey took the time to share some stories about the Queen of Country Music.

The original Queen of Country Music, Kitty Wells, has passed at the age of 92.  After writing a brief tribute, I was reminded of some great Kitty Wells memories.
