Spring Weather Outlook: Warmer Than Average Temps Coming To New York
While we certainly are not out of the wood yet when it comes to winter weather, we could be looking at warmer-than-average temperatures once spring really gets going.
The last few weeks spring has felt like it was months away, not weeks or days. But finally, this Monday, March 20th, the calendar brings us to the official start of spring. The last couple weeks of the month could still bring us winter precipitation, there is a warm light at the end of the tunnel.
The Weather Channel Releases Spring Weather Outlook
The Weather Channel has revealed its spring weather outlook and while April looks to get things started with pretty much seasonable to slightly above average temps, it looks like May could really bring us out of our cooler weather spells across the state of New York. The Weather Channel is predicting mostly above-average temperatures for the month.
In June temperatures could be slightly cooler than average, but closer to what we would normally expect for the month.
Regardless of the temps, after the last month or so of non-stop snow, we will take anything consistently above freezing at this point to help us escape any late March and April snow - that will be warm enough!
