See ‘The Shining’ In Capital Region Theaters This Weds.
Check out this classic horror flick on the big screen to get in the Halloween spirit!
It is an all time classic horror movie featuring an all time classic performance by one of the greatest actors of all time. 'The Shining' starring Jack Nicholson. You most likely have seen it on DVD, or maybe like when I was a kid you first saw it on VHS! Ha! Either way, you probably remember how scary it was. I mean, you will never forget 'Redrum', right? Or Nicholson chopping a hole in that door and sticking his head through it.
If you have never seen the Shining, you must be familiar with it's plot. Nicholson's character 'Jack' brings his family to the Overlook Hotel, high in the mountains, to care for the hotel when it is closed in the winter. Without giving it away, isolation and insanity ensue.
This week is your chance to see this one on the big screen, which will be super freaky. Can you think of a better way to get in to the Halloween spirit? According to the Times Union, this Wednesday, October 26th the Regal Crossgates Stadium 18 & IMAX in Albany will have 2pm and 7pm screenings and Criterion Cinemas 11 & BTX in Saratoga Springs will have a screening at 7pm.
Enjoy - and remember, 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!'
