This Saturday's storm is shaping up to be the biggest snowfall of the season for some in the Capital Region.

The last few weeks we have cumulatively gotten a lot of snow, but here in the greater Capital Region, it has been a lot of little snow storms adding up.

Our next winter storm rolling in Saturday night will bring more than we are used to this winter.

National Weather Service Issues Winter Storm Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 7 pm Saturday, February 8th through Noon, Sunday, February 9th for the following areas:

  • Eastern New York including the Capital Region, mid-Hudson Valley, Helderbergs, Schoharie Valley, the Taconics, and Eastern Catskills
  • Western Massachusetts/Berkshire County

Five inches or more of snow is expected across Upstate New York, with the greater Capital Region expecting the highest snowfall totals of up to a foot!

The National Weather Service (NWS) has now issued a Winter Storm Warning from 7 pm Saturday, February 8th through Noon Sunday, February 9th for the Capital Region, mid-Hudson Valley, Helderbergs, Schoharie Valley, the Taconic, Eastern Catskills, and Western Massachusetts/Berkshire Count. 5 or more inches of snow is expected across Upstate New York with up to a foot possible in the greater Albany area.
