Popular Downtown Troy Restaurant Rebrands as Thriving Live Music Venue
A popular Downtown Troy restaurant is undergoing a transformation and emerging as a live music venue and eatery. After successful live music events, the owners decided to switch things up including a new name.
Why The Change in This Popular Downtown Troy Eatery?
The decision to revamp Slidin' Dirty, the popular downtown Troy restaurant into a different kind of destination came after the owners saw a value in holding live music events.
According to the Albany Business Review, Slidin' Dirty has hosted successful live music events, including funky outdoor nights and live music during the Saturday farmers market. Owner Tim Taney has a vision for Troy to become a bustling music hub, attracting musicians and live music fans to downtown Troy and walking from place to place. Taney was inspired by his trip to Nashville where live music is in every bar and restaurant.
What Will Slidin' Dirty Become?
The new restaurant and music venue will be known as Twisted Fiddler. It will join the other Troy establishments that feature live music. They are No Fun, 518 Craft, Whiskey Pickle, and the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.
Twisted Fiddler has made some upgrades including an indoor stage, acoustic enhancements, new speakers, and more TVs for football games and music webcasts.
What About The Slidin' Dirty Food Truck?
Slidin' Dirty will continue its food truck and catering services. The chefs will create menus for both Twisted Fiddler and Slidin' Dirty.
Twisted Fiddler will offer full-sized versions of the well-known Slidin' Dirty Sliders along with fried cheese and meatball smash, mussels, short rib French dips, shrimp po boys, and schnitzel sandwiches.
The Twisted Fiddler will open on September 7th.
