The Concert announcements are coming fast and furious this week!

It has been a big week for Country concert announcements here in Upstate New York. Lady A, Kelsea Ballerini, and Sara Evans have all announced shows here in the Capital Region. And now a County show has been added to the New York State Fair free concert lineup.

The fair announced today the CMA and ACM Award-winning duo Brothers Osborne have been added to the free concert lineup and will perform on Sunday, August 22nd at 8pm at the fairgrounds in Syracuse. Country legends The Oak Ridge Boys will perform an afternoon show Tuesday, August 31st at 2pm and several legendary rock bands will perform, including REO Speedwagon and Starship.

This show will now give you two opportunities to see Brothers Osborne perform in the months ahead. They are also scheduled to tale the state at the Palace Theatre in Albany Saturday, October 30th with Tenille Townes.

This year's New York State Fair runs August 20th through September 6th and you can get more info, including how to get your tickets for these free shows, at the fair website. Currently, attendance will be limited and there will be some safety measures taken by the fair as far as designating areas where fans can watch these shows. As COVID guidelines seem to be evolving daily at this point, one would hope by the time the fair rolls around guidelines are much more relaxed and hopefully non-existent.

Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
