Man Bitten By Raccoon In Albany Area

A man that was tending to some cows in a barn in Cohoes was bitten by a possibly rabid raccoon.

As a precaution, he was given rabies shots. The story that I saw on News 10 ABC reported that the raccoon that bit the man was located by Cohoes Police and Animal Control, and was put down.

There have been a couple of other incidents with raccoons in the past few weeks that Animal Control has had to deal with. If anyone sees any of the animals, do not approach it and call animal control and/or the police. Their phone number is 518-237-5333.
