Man Allegedly Impersonated Trooper To Cops
A 20-year-old man was driving on Washington Avenue in Albany on Sunday, when he allegedly pulled his vehicle over and offered to assist New York State Troopers that were in the middle of a traffic stop.
He allegedly said that he was a trooper.
In the story from News 10 ABC, the man was allegedly wearing a polo shirt that had a State Police logo on it, and had no other credentials to prove that he was a trooper. He was then asked several questions by the troopers, his answers led to his arrest. He also allegedly admitted that he wasn’t a State Trooper.
Anthony Chandler was was then arrested by State Police, at the scene. Chandler was charged with Criminal Impersonation Of A Public Servant, and is due back in court at a later date.
