It has been a couple of years since the last few Capital Region TGI Fridays closed their doors for good.

While the former Albany location gets ready to become a new Shake Shack burger joint, the Fridays locations in Clifton Park and Wilton have remained vacant. Now, plans have been revealed to bring the Wilton location on Route 50 back to life.

Get ready for the Capital Region's 2nd Longhorn Steakhouse!

According to a report from Albany Business Review, Longhorn Steakhouse is putting together plans to open a new restaurant at the former Fridays location on Route 50 in Wilton. No timeline for the new eatery has been set as plans still need to be presented to the town of Wilton.

Longhorn currently operates a location on Wolf Road in Colonie, and as far as chain restaurants go, is one of the best. They offer great steaks at a great value, and Longhorn would be a great addition in Wilton.
