Latest Upstate NY Snow Predictions: Up To 8 in. For Some Areas Sunday
Another winter storm is heading to Upstate New York this weekend and potential snowfall totals are starting to come into focus.
And this next storm is looking like it will bring more snow to most of the Capital Region.
Like Thursday and Friday's winter storm, this one will bring a wintry mix to the Albany area and more snow points and west, but with more snow accumulation for Albany. According to News Channel 13, this storm should get going Sunday evening and will continue into Monday, and will bring wet and heavy snow with the potential for power outages.
Here is what various parts of the Capital Region, Upstate, and surrounding areas are looking at for snowfall totals:
Bennington, VT and Pittsfield, MA: 6 to 10 inches
Southern Vermont and the Northern Berkshires are expected to get 6 to 10 inches of snow with this storm.
Cobleskill, Oneonta, and Catskills Areas: 6 to 10 inches
6 to 10 inches are also expected for Cobleskill, Oneonta, and surrounding areas.
Syracuse and Utica: 3 to 6 inches
The Syracuse and Utica areas can expect 3 to 6 inches of snow.
Albany, Saratoga Springs, and Glens Falls Areas: 3 to 6 inches
Most of the greater Albany area and Capital Region can also expect 3 to 6 inches of snow Sunday into Monday.
The North Country: 1 to 3 inches
The most northern areas of Upstate can expect 1 to 3 inches.
