Lake George businesses are wondering what to do after the quota has been reached for legal work visa's that were distributed. I have an idea...

According to the Daily Gazette, the town of Lake George is worried about finding enough employees for their seasonal operations.

Now you can call me old fashioned and this may sound crazy but when work permits are used up for immigrants how about you solicit legal citizens. Maybe start with college kids who need a job for the summer.

I think what bothers me the most about the article is that they state how difficult it is to find citizens to work for such a low wage.

Well, here's a thought... Why don't you try to pay them a decent wage? Perhaps that could close this gap.

Maybe this could be a good experiment for the larger tourist attractions. Instead of paying immigrants minimum wage, why don't we try to pay a few extra dollars to a struggling college student?
